40 yard dumpsters are  approximately 22 feet long, 8 feet wide and 8 feet tall and can hold about 9 pickup truck loads of trash. Thirty cubic yard containers can hold up to 6  tons of waste. 

General household trash – wood (doors, windows, pallets etc.), sheet rock, insulation ( foam, fiberglass, etc.) furniture(mattresses, sofa, table, etc.) ceramic goods (sinks, toilets, tubs, etc.) , carpet and tile.

Tires, appliances (A/C, refrigerators, etc.), paint and batteries, hazardous materials (oil, gas, antifreeze, 55 gallon drums, etc.), fuel tank.
